Lost-N-Found Youth Thrift Store
Lost-N-Found Youth Thrift Store

The origin of this thrift shop takes us back to 2011. Once called Saint Lost and Found Project, Lost-N-Found Youth Thrift Store is a business established by the Atlanta Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.

Stemming from their concern about discrimination against queer individuals struggling to register with existing shelters and aid programs, local activists in Atlanta built this organization. They provide a private emergency shelter for homeless LGBTQ youth, and one of their funding sources comes from this thrift store they built.

  • “Excellent store to find something good or what you need or don’t need!!” – Alison Flornoy-Welch Mingo
  • “Large, clean store. It was well laid out, and the items in the store were in very good condition. The store didn’t smell bad; the parking area was adequate. And it was well-staffed.  It seemed to have mostly furniture and clothing and fewer small appliances and other items. Some of the prices were a little high compared to other thrift stores outside of Atlanta (we don’t live in Atlanta), but I would recommend this if you are in the area. Clothing seemed cheaply priced. I would always recommend this over a Goodwill based on their contribution to the community.” – Jacqueline Lemaire
Ecomaniac Reviews

In the midst of many thrift stores that don’t accept donations, even though they collaborate with non-profit parties, we appreciate that this shop warmly welcomes your contributions.

What’s more, customers also love that they provide budget-friendly deals while still keeping the quality of each item top-notch. For this thrift store, in our opinion, it’s more suitable for those looking for furniture and appliances because their collection is more extensive compared to other items.

Question and Answer
  • Q: I would like to donate my office furniture to the Salvation Army. Will you pick it up?
  • A: Yes, they will!
  • Q: Can I get free clothes donated to me? I’ve recently lost all my possessions.
  • A: For anyone who sees this question, yes! You can get help in situations like the aforementioned. You just need to call the main office.

Not many thrift stores offer a wide collection for kids, but this one does! The shop also has an interesting return policy where you can return items within a maximum of 7 days after purchasing, but keep in mind it only applies to clothes.

However, we’re disappointed that the website hasn’t updated their collection. So, all the information we can gather is from reviews by loyal customers.

Question and Answer
  • Q: What is the return policy if I purchase something that doesn’t work?
  • A: You have 7 days from the date of purchase to return regular clothing apparel only; this means pants, shirts, shorts, dresses, skirts, jackets, and coats only. No returns are allowed on shoes, housewares, books, or any other items. They should have the return policy signs at the front of the registers.

  • “They have a great selection of designer clothes and shoes along with budget-friendly options. I can always find something here. The downside for me is the location and parking. I also have never known the staff to offer to help you find something, so the vibe is less boutique (like finders keepers or queenies) and more bougie, curated thrift store (like rag or Rama or buffalo exchange).” – Erin Johnson
  • “This was only my second time visiting the store and shopping at the “main house”. I must say it is clean and organized. The sales girl Kay was very helpful and friendly! Upon checking out the sales guy, Patrick was professional and friendly as well! I will definitely be back for great deals and the customer service experience.” – Rose L.
  • “An absolutely wonderful set of consignment shops with high-end and mainstream brands. I always leave with great additions to my closet and at such affordable prices. • A: Yes.
  • Q: Do you guys buy wedding gowns? It was never worn besides just trying it on.

Users Review
  • “A large selection of brands and clothing types. The prices are reasonable. It is also very easy to shop since the store is well organized and clean. I enjoy stopping in, and this has become one of my current favorite thrift spots in the area.” – Jana Soli
  • “We checked out Rag-O-Rama for some good thrifting. They had so many great things. It is a very clean store and doesn’t smell like a typical thrift store. We will definitely be back.” – Sharlisa
  • “I love this RagORama! I’ve bought so much here. Need an 80s-themed costume? Check. Need a cashmere work sweater? Check. A pretty embroidered top? Check. I will say a lot of their stuff is actually new (i.e., mass produced and low quality), but you can search and find some true vintage.” – Cashelle Rose

In our opinion, this shop has an impressive collection, covering casual and formal clothing, accessories, and music-related items, as well as antiques, vintage pieces, and luxurious stuff. The cool part is the prices are also quite affordable.

But again, there are some complaints about the staff not being very friendly and lacking interaction with customers who might need their assistance. It’s a shame because they are the face of the business.
