Overall, this Junk King San Francisco recycling center provides excellent service! Not only are they professional, but they also do the job quickly with reasonable prices and absolutely on time. Indeed something that we appreciate a lot! Moreover, it pretty much removes all the trash in our home, including construction debris. If you request full service, they will also clean up your home, which is great!

But for those with a busy schedule, the self-service is very helpful as you can have the trash box for three days, allowing more time to collect your junk. The opening hours also allow you to call anytime. Unfortunately, Junk King doesn’t provide hazardous waste removal and drop off service. We hope that they can add those to their service in the future.

This may be the oldest and biggest recycling center in the United States by volume. It was founded 100 years ago, in the 1800s, by some Italian immigrants in San Francisco. Recology provides a wide range of services to manage your junk easily. Unlike other recycling centers, they accept hazardous materials, which we love so much. It makes it easier to handle the trash without finding another recycling point that receives one.

Unfortunately, we should reach another Recology center as Pier 96 doesn’t provide hazardous dumping. Instead, you must drive to the hazardous waste facility at a different address. Also, Recology doesn’t open on the weekend, which is sad as those days are primarily available for workers to remove trash from our homes. But we appreciate the friendly staff that accommodate our junk pretty fast.

Besides, they will only pay you if you compile the card boxes of around 300 lbs and drop them off at their site. That’s not convenient, in our opinion. But others were happy they could get rid of their card boxes and junk from their homes.
