4. Recycling Drop-Off Center

Unlike other privately owned recycling businesses, the Recycling Drop-Off Center is a program initiated by the local government that sets an agreement with Bridging The Gap (BTG). BTG itself was first in 1992 on the initiative of several residents to create a recycling program in the community.

They finally built and expanded the recycling centers up to 20 points around Kansas City. However, now only a few are still operating. Until now, there have been over 1,800 volunteers driving BTG programs, including this Recycling Drop-Off Center.

Unlike other Kansas Recycling centers, mostly closed on Sundays, this facility opens the whole week! You only need to check the open hours to ensure you can drive to the site on the right schedule.
